2D animated Serie, 12 x 10′, by par Ninar Al Himdani et Bloud Zhéva, development
In France, during the 70’s, Disco is bearly getting out of its shell when it’s starting to spread worldwilde. Joey Baker (a.k.a Agent B) et Bruce Shaw (a.k.a Spy D) two best friends, with opposite personnality, keeps getting small jobs not entirely legal to survive and in order for their favorite discothèque, their one commun uncondionnal love, the Sunshine Palace, to thrive.
This animated serie explores numerous themes : Friendship between two young adults, emancipation, and obviously, la quête identitaire the celebration of DISCO music, and other under-ground musical culture.
“Under its glittery appearance, one must know that this musical genre has a much darker side. Disco is a musical phenomenon born from the despair of the black and latin queer community, which sought to sublimate its misfortune to rise and find itself under a movement that allowed them to shine. It is impossible to make a series that highlights the Disco without mentioning its queer and marginal side. The great diversity of characters in this project also allows for expansion to as many musical styles as identities.“

A web serie
Agent B & Spy D, already has several forms, notably one on the Web: several short content, including a teaser that benefited from funding from the CNC Talent in 2022. These creations have accumulated more than 2 million views and 70,000 subscribers on Tiktok. One of the latest videos has garnered over 650,000 views. Ninar and Zhéva wish to assume the web format of their series: to increase their large community, keep a webcast and bring the project towards a more ambitious and longer format.
Rainbox strongly supports this ambitious exploration of broadcast formats and the strong, complex themes addressed by Ninar and Zhéva.
