3D IK expression error

Post by uhuruguru » Fri May 25, 2018 8:29 am

Hello! I'm using DuIK in AE CC 2018 on a Mac, DuIK v 15.52.

I create 4 nulls for an arm rig.
Wrist, Elbow, Shoulder and one controller null at the position of the Wrist null.
All of them are 3D.
I then select Wrist, Elbow, Shoulder and controller and hit the IK button. Then I select Left/Right view and hit Create.

The usual IK rotation expressions are created but on the xRotation of the zero null there is an expression error. It's looking for an effect on the controller null that's not there ("IK Direction Null 1"). If I try to rename the effect in the expression the expression error disappears. But now the rig behaves weirdly. As soon as I move the controller, all joints seem to rotate by 90° in space, so they become very flat.

Do you have any idea how to fix this?

Kind regards,
Michael
