Solids distort after adding bones

Post by Anne_N » Sun Nov 19, 2017 11:43 am

Hi, I'm trying to make a simple animation using solids and shapes. In my first project I was able to add bones, move them around and use the IK feature fine, but after trying again in a new project I'm having issues. I'm sure I am doing all the same steps, and even did a third project with just one solid to make sure, but every time I try to move a bone my solid layer warps and distorts. I have attached links to screenshots of what is happening. Any ideas? The first picture is my timeline after adding bones, the second picture is the solid after I try to move a bone (in this case, the elbow), the third picture is what it looks like before I move anything.

Oo

Never seen this before. I think it's an issue with the AE Puppet tool. You may display the mesh, and try to move the puppet pins before using Duik and see what happens...

I had that same problem till I precomposed each shape layer, then rigged.
